Joel Chasnoff is a stand-up comedian who was the opening act for Jon Stewart and Lewis Black of The Daily Show. Disillusioned with Ivy League post-graduate life, Chasnoff makes real on his dream of giving back to Israel and voluntarily enlists for one year in their Army. The lone American in a platoon of young Israelis, the author shares a hilarious coming-of-age tale with equal parts irreverence and vulnerability, irony and intimacy.
