Hands surrounding a heart

WE ALL BELONG

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation strives to create a caring, inclusive and united community rooted in Jewish values and traditions. We embrace and value differences, such as ethnicity and national origin, religious denomination and spiritual practice, race, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic levels and mental and physical ability.

Below is a preliminary list of available resources to help all members of our community access belonging. We look forward to adding more as we become aware of additional resources.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

On Monday, June 10th, instead of our usual Pride Empowerment Circle meeting at the JCC, we will be joining the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Youth Mental Health Initiative BeWell Miami, Keshet, and The Miami Jewish Film Festival for a screening of the Israeli documentary film "The Holy Closet.”
You can view the trailer here.
The documentary explores the stories of LGBTQ+ people in Israel who chose to remain religious and to build their lives, relationships, families, and everyday activities accordingly. Following the screening of the documentary will be an interactive panel discussion about the film and about mental health issues relevant to the LGBTQ+ community. This panel will include a representative from Keshet, a mental health professional, and Miami Jewish youth.

This event welcomes people of all religions.

Advanced registration is required. Please click here to register. If you need either financial or physical accommodations, do not hesitate to contact Shoshana Farbman (the organizer of the event) at [email protected] or (786) 866-8413
